Let’s make summer and lemonade more fun

A traditional lemon-based drink, available worldwide. Lemonade! The only word we could think of, in summer. It adds a kick to boring tasteless water and keeps you hydrated the whole season. It is definitely a healthy option as well. Every country has its own traditional versions of lemonade. Here are a few new, must try, varieties of lemonades to make your summer more exciting.

  1.     Basil Lemonade

Ingredients:

– 7 cups of water

– 1 cup of lemon juice (squeezed)

– 1 cup of sugar

– ½ cup of fresh basil (chopped)

Equipment:

– Bowl or pitcher

Method:

Add 1 cup sugar, ½ cup basil, and 1 cup warm water in a large bowl. Stir it till sugar completely dissolves in water. Add 6 cups of cold water and 1 cup of lemon juice. Stir it well and serve it chill.

Approximately, 7 glasses of lemonades can be prepared using the given measurements.

 

  1.     Peach Raspberry Lemonade

Ingredients:

– 8 cups of water

– 1 1/2 cup of lemon juice (squeezed)

– 1/2 cup of sugar

– 1 cups of fresh raspberries

–  2 cups of peeled and diced peaches

Equipment:

– Container

– Saucepan

– Blender or food processor

– Bowl or pitcher

Method:

Add ½ cup of water and ½ cup of sugar in a saucepan. Heat it on medium-high and stir till the sugar dissolves in water and make syrup. Let it sit to cool down. Rinse raspberries. Take a blender and add 2 cups of peaches, 1 ½ cup of water and 1 cup of raspberries. Blend it till it smooths out and has thick puree consistency. Take a large bowl or a pitcher and add syrup, peach and raspberry mix, and 1 ½ cup lemon juice in it. Mix it well and serve it chill.

Approximately, we can make 7-8 glasses using these given measurements.

 

  1.     Blueberry Lemonade

Ingredients:

–        5 cups of water

–         1 cup of lemon juice (squeezed)

–        ½ cup of sugar

–        2 cups of fresh blueberries

Equipment:

–        Container

–        Saucepan

–         Blender or food processor

–        Bowl or pitcher

Method:

Blueberry puree is prepared first. To make a blueberry puree, rinse 2 cups of blueberries under running water and transfer it into a saucepan. Add ½ cup of water and cook it for 2-3 minutes at medium heat. Stir it often so it wouldn’t stick to the pan or burn. When blueberries soften, transfer the mixture into a blender and blend till it gets smooth. Transfer the mixture into a container, let it cool down. Now take a bowl or pitcher and add 4 ½ cups of water, ½ cup of sugar, and 1 cup of lemon. Stir it well till sugar dissolves completely. Add blueberry puree in the mixture and stir it well. Now refrigerate the lemonade. Serve chilled.

Approximately, we will get 4-5 glasses of lemonade with the given measurements.

  1.     Lavender Lemonade

Ingredients:

–        4 cups of water

–        1 cup of sugar

–        1 cup lemon juice (Squeezed)

–        1 tbsp dried lavender

Equipment:

–        Saucepan

–        Bowl or pitcher

–        Strainer

Method:

Take a saucepan and add 1 cup of water, 1 cup of sugar and 1 tbsp dried lavender. Cook it for 2-3 minutes till sugar dissolves completely, at medium heat. Let it sit for 10 minutes or till it cools down to room temperature and strain lavender out from the mixture using a strainer. Take a bowl or pitcher, add the mixture, 3 cups of water and 1 cup of lemon juice. Stir it well and serve it chill.

Approximately, we will get 3-4 cups of lemonade using these measurements.

  1.     Mint Lemonade

Ingredients:

– 7 cups of water

– 1 cup of lemon juice (squeezed)

– 1 cup of sugar

– ½ cup of fresh mint (chopped)

Equipment:

– Bowl or pitcher

Method:

Add 1 cup sugar, ½ cup mint, and 1 cup warm water in a large bowl. Stir it till sugar completely dissolves in water. Add 6 cups of cold water and 1 cup of lemon juice. Stir it well and serve it chill.

Approximately, 7 glasses of lemonades can be prepared using the given measurements.

 

  1.     Ginger Lemonade

Ingredients:

–    4 cups of water

–    1 cup of sugar

–    1 cup lemon juice (Squeezed)

–    1 ½ tbsp of ginger (minced)

Equipment:

–         Saucepan

–         Bowl or pitcher

–         Strainer

Method:

Take a saucepan and add 1 cup of water, 1 cup of sugar and 1 ½ tbsp ginger. Cook it for 2-3 minutes till sugar and flavor of ginger dissolve completely, at medium heat. Let it sit for 10 minutes or till it cools down to room temperature and strain ginger out from the mixture using a strainer (optional). Take a bowl or pitcher, add the mixture, 3 cups of water and 1 cup of lemon juice. Stir it well and serve it chill.

Approximately, we will get 3-4 cups of lemonade using these measurements.

 

  1.     Sparkling Lemonade

Ingredients:

– 1 cups of water

– 1 cup of lemon juice (squeezed)

– 1 cup of sugar

– ½ cup of fresh basil (chopped)

– 6 glasses of club soda

Equipment:

– Bowl or pitcher

Method:

Add 1 cup sugar and 1 cup of warm water in a large bowl. Stir it till sugar completely dissolves in water. Add 1 cup of lemon juice. Stir it well. While serving add 6 chilled cups of club soda. Stir it once. Too much stir may spoil the taste.

Approximately, 7 glasses of lemonade can be prepared using the given measurements.

 

  1.     Mango Lemonade

Ingredients:

–        1 cup of fresh or frozen mango (chopped)

–        1 cup of sugar

–        1 cup of lemon juice

–        3 1/2 cups of water

Equipment:

–         Blender or food processor

–        Bowl or pitcher

Method:

Add ½ cup of water, 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of chopped mango in a blender. Blend them and it forms puree consistency. Transfer it into a bowl or pitcher. Add 1 cup of lemon and 3 cups of water. Stir it well and serve it chill.

Approximately, we can prepare 3-4 glasses using these measurements.

 

You can also add ice and garnish with lemon slices or another dominating ingredient to make it more professional. To eliminate sugar, you can use stevia or maple syrup. I hope these recipes make your summer more fun, refreshing, and flavourful.
