Your Coffee Guide
To kick start a day, many of us need coffee. Many of my friends cannot talk to people around them, move, or work without a large cup of coffee. We all have different preferences when it comes to our favorite drink. Our barista knows how to make our preferable drink exactly how we like.
Some days, when we feel lazy to walk/ drive to our nearest coffee shop, we wait in a long queue just to place an order, and then it takes more than 15 minutes to get our coffee. It’s really frustrating and annoying. Now, what if you could make your own favorite coffee, at your home in hardly 10 minutes. Here are a few recipes for different varieties of coffee for everyone.
- Espresso
- Ingredients:
7gms Fine Ground Coffee
30ml Water
Portafilter
- Method:
Tightly pack 7 grams of Coffee in a portafilter and run high-pressured hot water through it. It will carry a small coffee extract with it and you will get your perfect Espresso. This is served in a Demitasse also known as a small coffee cup.
- Latte
- Ingredients:
60ml Water
14gms Fine Ground Coffee
60ml Steamed Milk
2ml Foamed Milk
- Method:
To make Caffe Latte, prepare 2 Espresso shots using 60ml of Water and 14gms of Coffee, using the method mentioned above. Pour it in a cup with a handle. Add 60 ml of Steamed milk in it and top it with 2ml of Foamed milk.
- Cappuccino
- Ingredients:
60ml Espresso
60ml Steamed Milk
60ml Foamed Milk
- Method:
Cappuccino is prepared using 60ml of Espresso, 60ml of Steamed milk, and 60ml of Foamed milk. It is served in a wider and large ceramic cup. Add Cocoa powder or Chocolate powder as a topping.
- Mocha
- Ingredients:
60ml Espresso
60ml Chocolate
30ml Steamed Milk
- Method:
Mocha is another version of Latte. To make a perfect cup of Mocha, you need 60ml of espresso aka Espresso Doppio or 2 cups of Espresso, 60ml of Chocolate, and 30ml of steamed milk.
- Café Cream
- Ingredients:
60ml Espresso
30ml Heavy Cream
- Method:
To make Café cream you need only 2 Espressos shot or 60 ml Espresso and 30ml Heavy cream.
- Americano
- Ingredients:
60ml Hot Water
60ml Espresso
- Method:
Pour 2 shots of Espresso or 60ml of Espresso in a cup and add equal amounts of hot water. It is a less bitter, American version of coffee.
- Irish Coffee
- Ingredients:
60ml Espresso
20ml Whisky
20ml Heavy Cream
- Method:
To make a perfect cup of Irish coffee, you need 60ml of espresso, 20ml of Whiskey, and 20ml of Heavy cream. Add 20 grams of sugar to subtle the bitter taste, if needed.
- Arabic Coffee
- Ingredients:
60ml Espresso
Pinch of Cinnamon
Pinch of Cardamom
- Method:
Arabic coffee is an Arabic version of Espresso. To make this you need 60ml of Espresso or 2 Espresso shorts and add Cinnamon and Cardamom to it.
- Hawaiian Coffee
- Ingredients:
60 ml Espresso
60 ml Coconut Milk
- Method:
To make a perfect cup of Hawaiian coffee, pour 60 ml of Espresso in a cup, and add 60 ml of Coconut milk to it.
- Caribbean Coffee
- Ingredients:
60ml of Espresso
10ml of Ron
20gms Brown Sugar
2 drops Vanilla Extract
- Method:
Pour 60ml of Espresso in a cup followed by 10 ml Ron, a Caribbean rum. Add 2 drops of Vanilla extract and 20 grams of Brown sugar to it. Your Caribbean coffee is ready to serve.
- Viennese Coffee
- Ingredients:
60ml Espresso
20ml Chocolate
20ml Steamed Milk
20 ml Foamed Milk
Grated Chocolate
- Method:
It’s a Vietnamese version of coffee. To make Vienna coffee, add 60ml of Espresso and 20ml of Chocolate in a cup. Pour 20ml Hot milk followed by 20ml Foamed milk in the cup. Sprinkle grated chocolate as a topping on it.
- Salted Caramel Latte
- Ingredients:
60 ml Espresso
30ml Steamed Milk
1tb Cocoa Powder
2tb Salted Caramel Sauce
Whipped Cream
- Method:
Add 1tb Cocoa powder and 2tb salted caramel sauce into 30ml hot milk followed by 60ml espresso and stir well. Pour it in a cup and top it with whipped cream. Drizzle Salted Caramel sauce on the top. An amazing salted caramel latte is ready to serve.
- Caramel Hazelnut Mocha
- Ingredients:
60ml Espresso
30ml Steamed Milk
2tb Caramel Sauce
1tb Cocoa Powder
1tb Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread
Whipped Cream
- Method:
To make a Caramel hazelnut mocha, add 1tb Cocoa powder, 2tb Caramel sauce, Chocolate-hazelnut spread, and 60ml of espresso in steamed milk. Pour it in a cup. Add whipped cream and drizzle caramel sauce on top.
- Caramel Macchiato
- Ingredients:
60ml Espresso
2tb Caramel Sauce
20ml Steamed Milk
20ml Formed Milk
- Method:
Pour 60ml Espresso in a cup, followed by 2tb Caramel sauce and 20ml Steamed milk in it. Add Formed milk on the top. Drizzle Caramel sauce (optional).
- Flat White
- Ingredients:
60ml Espresso
120ml Steamed Milk
- Method:
To make a Flat White, you just need two ingredients. Pour 60ml Espresso and 120ml Steamed milk in a cup and your coffee is ready to serve.
- Café au Lait
- Ingredients:
60ml French Pressed Coffee
60ml Steamed Milk
- Method:
To make a perfect Café au lait, take 60ml of Steamed milk and an equal amount of French pressed coffee and pour it into a cup. Your Café au lait is ready to serve.
- Caffe Affogato
- Ingredients:
60ml Espresso
A Scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream
- Method:
Pour 60ml of Espresso in a cup and add a scoop of Vanilla ice cream or Vanilla gelato in it. Your coffee is ready to serve. It is a coffee-based Italian dessert.
- Breve
- Ingredients:
60ml Espresso
90ml Half and Half
- Method:
Pour 60ml of espresso in a cup, followed by 90 ml of steamed Half & Half or Light cream in a cup, on the top. Breve is ready to serve.
- Café Con Leche
- Ingredients:
120ml Espresso
120ml Scalded Milk
- Method:
Take an equal ratio of Espresso and Scalded milk, here we are taking 120ml each. Add sugar according to taste. Pour it in a cup. Café Con Leche is ready to serve.
- Iced Coffee
- Ingredients:
A cup of Ice cubes
120 ml Coffee
60ml Cold Milk
Sugar or Sweetener
- Method:
Make a diluted coffee by adding 60ml of Espresso and 60ml of Water. Take a glass. Fill it with ice cubes. Pour the coffee in the glass. Make sure your coffee is chilled or at room temperature. Add 60ml of Cold milk and sweetener of your choice. Stir it well. Your Iced Coffee is ready to serve. For a better experience, instead of using regular ice cubes, make ice cubes with coffee only. This will prevent watered-down taste when the ice melts.
